Episode 11: Standup Adventure!!

Greg talks about his first two experiences doing open mic standup comedy. The first half is hopeful and the second half is depressing and the whole thing is not worth watching. Spend this time listening to a Penn Jilette podcast instead.

    Hey, no hard feelings. :)

I was going to say this maybe in a voicemail or email, but I might as well say it here: a) failures teach us more than successes, and b) everyone has bombed at something. Which means, in fact, that instead of suddenly feeling like you don’t belong because you think you bombed, quite the opposite happened: every ‘regular’ has had that experience. And I think if you keep coming back and put yourself out there, not even necessarily in an on-stage way but just as a presence up front, you’ll start getting that feedback. Right now they don’t know if they should invest that much time in you, but that will change. That’s my guess, at least.

Way deeper and/or longer than a comment should be perhaps, but there you go.
